Day 2 of Insanity Asylum was quite a surprise. After doing the full Insanity workout I though that this training was going to be a lot different. If you are coming from finishing Insanity then just remember that Asylum is not as cardio oriented, but more of a full body conditioning program.
For the first ten minutes, as usual, Shaun T puts you through a warm up, which really didn’t feel to me anything different from the rest of the workout but I guess that if you take it a little easier and you do the movements with the purpose of warming yourself up to prevent injury, then it would probably feel a little bit different.
Then he goes into a very quick stretch, completely different form the 5 to 10 minute stretch that we got during Insanity and then the you get I thing 3 sets of exercises.
My first impression of Insanity Asylum, from the fit test was that it is a lot more strength training oriented than the original Insanity workout which was certainly cardio cardio cardio. Also he uses dumbbell, resistance bands, and/or pullup bars, where as if you read my Insanity workout review you are going to see that I got the results that I got with nothing but my own body weight used as resistance.
Anyway, I did day 2 yesterday and I am completely sore. Not to the point that I think I pulled something, but enough to know that I have been working out at a decent rate of exertion. My arms hurt, my shoulders, back, triceps, right below my butt cheeks and also my abs. NICE! It must be working.
The last thing is diet. I am not really following the diet program, but I always find that my eating habits improve dramatically once I start exercising. A lot more veggies, a lot more lean proteins, more water and less junk. If I can keep this up I should be able to see some nice results.
Check out my full Insanity Asylum Review <—–HERE
The last day! I love it. I am so happy I was able to make it all the way though. One more day for the Fit Test and I am going straight into Asylum. I might as well use what the momentum I have acquired to continue this journey. One phase is down, lets see how many more to go.
Digging deep and sweating like a crazy is the way to go. The feeling of accomplishment is awesome and what seem it was going to last forever in the first few days, is now just a very nice memory. It really didn’t seem like I did this for 2 full months. I loved it.
You know how some people thrive on challenge? I think I am one of them. I actually got Asylum just to see how hard it really is. I wasn’t thinking of making Insanity any longer than it is, but now I guess I am going for 3 months. Maybe by then it will be time to start P90X2! BTW, does anyone know if there is going to be prerequisites to doing P90X2?

Insanity Workout Review – Day 62 – Max Cardio Conditioning
Weight: 108.0 lbs
So can I tell the difference? Has anything changed? Do I feel like I have accomplished my goal?
Well, I can certainly tell the difference, all my clothes fit SO much better and I no longer have the handles or the donut! OMG I hate it when I put on a pair of pants and I see my belly extending beyond the limits of the pants ugh. I usually just take them off and put on some bigger pants, but now, I don’t have much hanging… lol
I am now very motivated to continue. Even though it is not easy to wake up to workout harder than you ever imagined possible (before the sun is up) I really want to continue and see how much farther I can get. I figured if I was able to get these results in 60 days, how about in 6 months? I am not going to stop here and go back…. that would be a waste of 2 months.
One thing I NEED to work on is my diet. BIG TIME. I love eating, I like all kinds of foods and really don’t have much more time left after work, working out and taking care of my baby to prepare wholesome good foods that adhere to a diet. Most times my meals consist of cereal and milk of sliced chicken with frozen veggies…. Well, sometimes I make sopita (soup) for Jacob and then I make some for me too.
Oh, I may start a soup book or something like that. Jacob thinks that dinner is soup and I am glad because I always make it full of whole grains, veggies and sometimes lean meat. I think I am going to make quinoa soup today.
I am done. Tomorrow I take my fit test and I close this chapter. On Sunday I will open Insanity Asylum, wish me luck!

Still as hard as I remembered it! But it really doesn’t matter since after this workout I only have one more to go to declare victory! TOMORROW is the day, day 62 of Insanity, the last they of my two month challenge. YEAH!
Through the program I was looking to get abs and to lose weight. I also wanted to improve my diet and so my health. Well, I definitely got the beginning of what are going to be ripped abs, I promise, and though my weight hasn’t really changed that much, I am just going to believe that muscle weighs more than fat and that I have lost body fat and gained muscle mass.

Insanity Workout Review – Day 61 – Max Interval Plyo
Weight: 107.6 lbs
Insanity Max Interval Plyo is a very demanding exercise, like all other Insanity workout but it was a lot easier to do today because I knew it was the last day that I was going to do it. If I haven’t really said it before I love INSANITY, it is such a hard workout but you never get injured, which is very uncommon for demanding exercises.
During each Insanity workout Shaunt T makes you stretch twice, one right after the warm up and one at the end. Also, he tells you to never skip the stretches and I think that is the key to stay injury free.
Most Insanity workout are set up like this:
So as you can see 20 minutes of each workout are designed to keep you safe, and that is one of the things that I absolutely LOVE about Insanity, I have never seen a workout like this before.
Tomorrow is my last day and then I do the fit test to see the results. I cannot wait!.

It was such a relief that I had to do this workout today since this week there isn’t a recovery workout. It was nice as usual and again, if you want to work out your abs, don’t bother with cardio abs, go straight to Cardio Core and Balance. LOVE IT!
I got my Insanity Asylum today! yeah, yeah! lol My husband says that I am crazy. I totally agree.
Once I am done with Insanity (in the next 2 days) I am going into Asylum. I am going to see what kind of test you have to pass, since there is a prerequisite test that you need to do before you start, but certainly if I pass I am going for 30 more day. What is the worse that can happen? Maybe I will get ripped lol

Insanity Workout Review – Day 60 – Cardio Core and Balance
Weight: 107.4 lbs
There are two more day left after this workout and I can’t wait. It has been an awesome journey but I still need to push and dig deep a couple more times. I haven’t been able to do the fit test since day 15 because of lack of time, but I will do it on day 63 or 64, right before doing Asylum. I do want to see if I have gotten stronger.
I am starting to really notice the difference on my arms and legs. I wish I had pictures of my legs to see the before and after, at least you can see how my shoulders have developed. They had to there are so many kinds of pushups and drills on the floor that require shoulder strength that they had to keep up. Still, they and my arms in general are my weakest link but I am working on it.
I wonder if one can do P90X2 after completing Insanity and Insanity Asylum. I just have never been able to finish p90x because as soon as I get to YogaX I get bored and quit. It’s just not my type of program, but I am definitely interested in the sequel.
Insanity Cardio Core and Balance is the best workout on the Insanity series I wonder if Shaun T or any other trainer could create a 30 minute workout that pushes you just as hard as Insanity does. I am sure that it would be a hit. Working out for an hour at Max is tough, and then, well, we also have a life, kids, husbands, wives, and other things to do.
That is for today. I am down to the last 3 post on this chapter/category and then I will move on to the Asylum. I love it!

So I really thought that today I was going to do the Insanity Recovery workout and as I discover, the last week fo Insanity doesn’t have the recovery workout in it. What a surprise! I guess since it is the last days you are to dig even deeper and just get it done, so that is what we do.
One word for Insanity Max Interval Circuit… INSANE! I love it though. I am sure that if I don’t stop after this 60-days I will be able to have the body of my dreams, well, of anyone’s dream by the end of the year. I already feel the definition, the abs, the arms, even the legs getting stronger and much more toned. I just need to drop my body fat % a little bit more, clean up my diet and I should be good to go!

Insanity Workout Review – Day 59 – Max Interval Circuit
Weight: 106.2 lbs
Nice, I am almost done! There are only three more workouts after this and I can close my 1st Insanity chapter. I cannot wait. Also, you wouldn’t believe what a big motivator it is to have only a few days left. I don’t want to extend this workout any longer, I want to get it done!
Insanity Max Interval Circuit is hard, push, push, push, dig deeper and deeper! It is just one challenge after the other and it is a long challenge too. At 60-minute it is the longest Insanity workout. And it is grueling!
I am still a little bit sick, but as long as I have a box of tissues I am good to go. I think that exercising clears up my sinus (I know what a random piece of info). But I am feeling better and I am starting to be able to breath a little bit easier.
I am not extending this post much more. I am happy that my weight is going down. I hope that by the end of the workout I am at my lowest, mainly for picture and dramatic purposes. I know that my diet is a work in progress, but so is everything else in life. Oh! I forgot to say this yesterday… “Happy Father’s Day” to all the fathers out there, specially the the wonderful father of my son (my husband lol) I love you…. more!
Check out P90X2, it is coming soon!

Ok, yes I know this post should be about Max Cardio Conditioning, but I just visited my WOWY page and I see that they are already advertising P90X2!! WOW. I wonder if I would have enough time to do P90X right after I am done with Insanity so I can do P90X2 when it comes out. Yes, I am workout junkie, I love BeachBody workouts and well, you can see why.
Well, lets go to what this post should be about. After a day off after feeling really sick I am on the last path to the finish line. Insanity Day 58, can you believe it. I am almost done. It is such a nice feeling.
For anyone who is wondering if it is hard to have a blog, the answer is no. If you even need help setting one up, please let me know I will be very glad to help you getting started. Also, you can just go to Wowy.com, they have a place where you can blog all you want and see what others are doing.

Insanity Workout Review - Day 58 – Max Cardio Conditioning
Weight: 106.7 lbs
Yeap, my weight is finally going the right way. Isn’t it funny that I have to be sick for my weight to drop. In between Shakeology shakes, Vega Health Optimizers and sopitas (soups) I think I found the right combination of food and replacements to lose weight. lol
One more time Insanity Max Cardio Conditioning kicked my butt. I am however, starting to get the hang of it. The first time I did it I thought it wasn’t as hard as Cardio Conditioning from phase one, but as it turns out, it is just the effort that you put in. I believe now that I can make it as hard or as easy as I need it to be to get results… which is the magic of Insanity.
Has anyone without and semi athletic background has tried Insanity? I am just wondering because I would love to see that person break all the rules and be the one who shows the world that everything is possible and that all you need is the will to make things happen. If anyone ever does, I will make a post about them and give them the credit they deserve.
I cannot stop looking at P90X2 news. I am so excited… and I haven’t even done P90X lol. I really want to get my hands on it. I will change the name of my site to Beachbody Workout Results and Reviews. We will see. I am signing up to be the first one to know about the release. I want the be the first one!
Anyway. Overall it was a great day. I took it a little be easy because I am still feeling sick, but as I knew it from before I feel a lot better once I am done!
30-day money back guarantee
I am sick :( People at work have the flu so I am not sure if I am catching that or if I am just having a regular cold. Whichever it is, I hope it doesn’t develop any further and I can just enjoy my weekend.
Even though I didn’t feel like it, I decided that I was going to workout. It has been my experience before that once I workout and sweat my whatever illness I have seem to go away quicker. Sometime ago I read that sweat has antibacterial properties… what truth is in that, I don’t know lol.
Today’s Insanity Max Interval Plyo seemed a lot better than others even though I wasn’t feeling all that great. I really wasn’t pushing that hard, but I still got soaked in sweat. I figured whatever effort I put into this workout is 100% better than skipping it. On top of that, today is the LAST day of the FINAL week of Insanity for me and I can’t wait to say. “I AM DONE!”

Insanity Workout Review – Day 57 – Max Interval Plyo
Weight: 107.6 lbs
At I stay stable at 107 lbs. I must have been standing differently today because the pictures look different. lol Oh well.
Like I said above today’s Insanity Max Interval Plyo was not near as bad as I though it was going to be. Being sick I took it one rep at the time, one set at the time. I was in no hurry to exhaust myself, but I felt really good afterwards.
I am starting to get all congested again, I hope my baby doesn’t get sick.
I only have 5 more day, and I can claim victory. OH! btw I ordered Insanity Asylum today… I think I am going to do it right after this, maybe I will be able to stick to a decent diet then… and then again, maybe not.
30-day money back guarantee
Still my favorite workout. Strong, hard, but gentle enough that you actually enjoy doing it and feel accomplished without thinking of dying in the process. lol
Insanity Day 55, I cannot believe it. I have one more week and it is over. I am so exited and also anxious. I want to do my fit test, just to see the difference. I can already notice that I have A LOT more upper body strength, but I guess I need to see the results to tell for sure.

Insanity Workout Review – Day 55 – Cardio Core And Balance
Weight: 107.6 lbs
Thanks to Shakeology and Vega Whole Food Health Optimizer I was able to drop below 108 again. Even though the changes in my body are quite evident through the photos, when I look at the scale there isn’t that much of a change and that IS somehow frustrating.
Insanity Cardio Core and Balance is the perfect way to finish the week. I love this workout because it is doable and hard at the same time, and the harder you push the better the results you get.
I have been debating on doing Insanity Asylum. What do you guys think? Has anyone done the Asylum? If not I may go to Insanity round 2. That would be interesting, but I am afraid that I may get unmotivated.
I love cardio and I love running. I hope that after Insanity I find a little bit of spare time to start running again. Maybe I will take Jacob in a stroller for a run around the block, I am sure that he would love that.
As you can see I am down to 107.6 which is a good change since I was actually going up, instead of down. The easiest part for me of any workout routine is the routine itself, the exercise part, when it comes to the diet, I have always struggled, but it is a good struggle because it just shows that we all have to fight obstacle and we all need to work on different thing.
I had seen Vega Whole Food Optimizer at the store but it is really expensive so I didn’t want to try it. The other day they had it on display as a demo and I gave it a shot. I was impressed. The berry flavor is pretty good, but I went with the chocolate flavor, just to give it a try. I think that if there is anyone out there who is Vegan and do not want to consume Shakeology due to its whey content, they should definitely try Vega Whole Food Optimizer. It is expensive but I think, worth every penny.
And that is it for today. I am waiting for the last week of Insanity, I want to dig deep and see results!
30-day money back guarantee
As you can see it took me 3 days off to go back to the workout. Lack of preparation and self motivation were the culprits.
Throughout this Insanity Workout Review site I have been telling you what I thought of each individual workout and how hard I thought they were. Well today I realized that it is not the workout what is difficult of easy, it is how much effort you put in it.
I also find out that the level of difficulty is not really proportionally related to the effort, but it is actually a state of mind. If you are working really super hard and diggin’ deep in every rep, then you are going to find it hard to keep up with, however, the same is true if you are just not even making an effort, you are going to find it boring and difficult to follow. Find the right balance between effort and difficulty and you will find that it is easier to stay motivated.

Insanity Workout Review – Day 54 – Max Interval Circuit
Weight: 108.6 lbs
So I am almost back to my original weight but you can still see the huge difference in definition. I am going to try to lose some of the weight in the next 10 days but unless I learn how to make a permanent change in my diet habits, it may not matter, because I will gain it all back.
Today the workout was great. I really wasn’t in the mood to spend one full hour jumping and sweating but I did it anyway. I do want to get this Insanity workout done. I have prolonged the inevitable for too long, and I can certainly not give up now (though I have though about it)
I am going back to a Shakeology in the morning and one at night. I am mixing Shakeology with Vega Health Optimizer, which is probably the best meal replacement for vegans.
Tomorrow is my favorite workout Cardio Core and Balance and after that is a day off. I am really going to try to focus on my diet. but then again I have been saying that since day one. Oh well, one change at the time.
I am tired. I need to go sleep. I am starting to wake up very early again to make sure that I don’t miss my workout so by 9 or 10 PM I am pretty beat and ready for bed. So until tomorrow my Insanity fans. And DIG DEEPER!

If you think that because it is Insanity Mar RECOVERY it is going to be a piece of cake, you are certainly fooling yourself. I did this workout yesterday and I am more sore today than I have been in weeks.
It is not a matter of speed or cardio, it is Recovery from cardio but it is a serious strength and resistance training for everything else in your body. Make sure to grab some water and if you have it, the Results and Recovery formula to prevent muscle soreness.
The last day of the week. TGIF

Insanity Workout Review – Day 53 – Max Recovery
Weight: 108.2 lbs
Insanity Max Recovery was what the doctor ordered. After doing the circuits your body needs a rest. There is just no way to do another high intensity workout, or maybe there is, but I sure don’t feel the energy flowing. Also Max Recovery is 10 minutes shorter than the circuits so I get 10 more minutes of sleep.
The hardest part of the workout, for me are the pulses. Shaun T has you doing squats and pulses for like 5 minutes straight. The amazing part though, is that most of the people in the video are able to stay in that position the whole time!! Maybe someday I will be part of the cast.
I was thinking of sending in my before and after pictures to Team BeachBody for a T-shirt, but they ask you for a receipt and I don’t have it, it was a gift to me two years ago. :( I wish they won’t ask for it. Maybe I can purchase one. It would be pretty cool to have it.
Someone just asked me how to stay motivated…
Diet Plan
Well, I am back to eating anything I want in moderation, and trying to add more fruits veggies and lean proteins. I also have my daily Shakeology.
30-day money back guarantee
As usual this workout is extremely hard. There are so many moves that exhaust your legs that by the end of the workout you are literally shaking. I know the “No Pain No Gain” saying but it would be nice if it wasn’t that way.
However, it is nice to have done it. It feels awesome once you are done because the feeling of accomplishment is tremendous. Only you know how much you pushed, how deep you dug, and that is what it is important, the way you feel about yourself.

Insanity Workout Review – Day 51 – Max Interval Plyo
Weigh: 108.2 lbs. uggg
Insanity Max Internal Plyo is getting a little bit better, even though I still cannot finish most the exercises without having to stop midway, but I realized that if you push 3 seconds after you body told you to stop, you see better results and you feel more accomplished.
Don’t get “lazy”. During the last couple of weeks I realized that if I take enough breaks the workout is still good but it doesn’t feel as hard. Then just a couple of days ago I realized that if I take a little break every single time my body and/or my mind tell me too, I become lazy and I don’t push as hard or dig as deep as I should.
When you are exercising know that 80% of your tiredness is on your mind. If you body tells you to stop, stop, but if your mind is the one playing with you, telling you how tired you are and how much it hurts, then ignore it, at least for a few couple of seconds and learn to push harder. You won’t only see a lot better results, but I can assure you that you will feel better about yourself.
Diet Plan
108.2 lbs boo hoo. Oh well, I know that muscle weights more than fat and I hope that at least a portion of my body fat is gone. Actually I know it is gone since I can feel it when I am putting on my pants, and also on the pictures. Have you realized that as soon as I started trying to follow a diet I started to gain weight? lol I told you I am really bad at following diets.
Conclusion and Tips.
PUSH HARDER AND DIG DEEPER. The deeper you dig, the better and more accomplished you will feel once you are done. Believe me, it is not easy to just keep on going when your quads are shaking and you arms are burning, but when you are at the point when you want to stop, just tell yourself, 3 more seconds, count them and then stop. It will make a huge difference.
Day 51 is gone and I have 12 more days. Yes, Shaun T’s Insanity is 63 days long and I am almost done. I wonder if I should go for the Asylum?
